Omrvinka

Omrvinka is a take-out pastry place in Bratislava, founded as an independent passion project focused on premium baking. From the outset, the aim was to build a simple and friendly identity that embraces the joy, tactility and small imperfections inherent to baking.

The core concept is based on the idea of a crumb – a small, leftover trace of something good. This metaphor became the foundation of the visual system.

I translated the concept into a typographic-led identity built from basic geometric elements: dots, squares, circles and triangles. Combined into custom lettering, these shapes reference surfaces lightly sprinkled with crumbs, resulting in a minimal yet playful typographic expression.

Designed for a fast-paced take-out environment, the identity is intentionally light, approachable and immediately recognisable. Its simplicity allows it to scale easily across packaging, signage and everyday communication without losing character.

To introduce warmth and personality, the brand features a geometric pigeon mascot that “eats the crumbs.” Created by the owner, the pigeon adds humour and a human layer to the system and has become a recognisable symbol among Omrvinka customers.
